WHAT
The Atelier Architettura Arte is the first design workshop for young people aged 14 to 18 in Italy; it has been active in Rieti since the academic year 2024-2025.
The Atelier is specialised in active design activities related to architecture, landscape, town planning, engineering, environment, art, design, and digital through the realisation of models and the use of computer-digital tools capable of mastering programmes such as autocad, rhinoceros, lumion, and photoshop to represent and model compositional-design products from 2D to 3D, rendering, and page layout, also studying their realisation methods and economic estimates.
WHY
The meetings are structured with an interactive methodology based on learning by doing, which fosters knowledge through action, direct involvement and the development of skills and attitudes, making the children protagonists, promoters of projects, initiatives, exhibitions and public events for the city.
WHEN
Three Saturdays per month from 14.30 to 16.30 (time and day to be agreed with interested parties). Calendar from November 2024 to June 2025.
WHERE
Sala delle colonne - Chiostro Sant'Agostino in Piazza Mazzini and other historical sites in Rieti.
Director
Marco Rosati_architect, also qualified as an engineer; PhD in ‘Landscape and Environment’, Department of Architecture and Design, at the Sapienza University of Rome; graduates with honours with a thesis in Architectural and Urban Design, and obtains a second-level Master's degree P.A.R.E.S. ‘Architectural Design for the Recovery of Historic Buildings and Public Spaces’. He carried out an internship at the Mibact at the Superintendence of ‘Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape’ for Rome and Rieti. Attentive and dedicated to children's education, he teaches in state school institutes. At the same time, he carries out his profession by collaborating in Architectural and Urban Design studios. He participates in national and international design and ideas competitions, receiving prizes and mentions.
